Of The Weeks (OTWs)

An OTW "Of The Week" is a great way to recognize people, events and communities on campus. They don’t take long to write, and they could win on the campus level at the next RHA General Body meeting! Below are the guidelines and submission form for OTWs. If you have any questions contact our NCC, Harrison Redd (redd@life.arizona.edu).

Each week, your hall may submit one OTW. Choose from one of the following categories:

Student of the Week (i.e. resident, hall council member etc.)

Staff Member of the Week (i.e. RA, Advisor etc.)

Program of the Week (any campus event)

Hall of the Week (any hall on campus)

Spotlight of the Week (anything that doesn’t fit in the other four categories)

Submitting an OTW:

1. Choose a nominee for one of the five categories.

2. Work with your hall council to write an OTW about your nominee. OTWs may be no longer than 200 words.

3. Submit the OTW on the OTW Submission Page.

4. Once your nominee for the week has been submitted, it will be voted on during the next RHA General Body meeting. A winner will be decided in each category.

5. In order to recognize your nominee within your own hall, remember to use the recognition kit provided by RHA and create a certificate to post on their door (or in a common area if the nominee is an event or hall).

*Don’t forget that an OTW is a great start in the process of writing an Of The Month (OTM). Expand your OTW into an OTM and submit it online.

*You don’t have to write OTWs about people or events in your hall. It’s always fun to recognize other halls on campus! But remember, your hall can only submit one OTW per week!
