RHA Amenities Check-Out Policy 2011-2012

Here are some easy steps to check out equipment! If you follow them, everything will be good!

1. Request Equipment: All Requests must be sent to me, the VP of Services, using the form online, 1-2 weeks before the program! For larger programs request your equipment ASAP! Equipment is on a first come first serve basis. If someone requests a piece of equipment before you and your program conflicts than it goes to the first requestor.

2. Pick up Equipment: If possible, you should try and pick up the equipment from the RHA office! After accepting your request I will make a meeting with you for when you can pick up the equipment!

a. Remember: The RHA office is in Likins so when requesting a piece of equipment plan accordingly. Things like popcorn machines and Projector screens are big and bulky have a way to move it around.

b. Do Not Miss Your Appointment! This will forfeit your claim to the equipment unless I am contacted at least a day before or due to extreme circumstances.

c. When you come to pick up your equipment you are required to sign a check-out form and give the earliest date you can return said equipment.

3. Use Equipment: After the equipment leaves RHA’s possession it is your Hall’s responsibility to use it properly. If the equipment is damaged or broken or you miss a check-out or return then you will receive a strike and may be asked to pay for the damage. However strikes will ultimately be up to my discretion. If you receive three strikes in a semester, you will lose check-out privileges.

4. Return Equipment: Return equipment promptly and CLEAN. Lots of people have to use the equipment so get it back ASAP. I will make a meeting time with you for a time to return the equipment. Make sure you don’t miss your assigned time.

That is about it. Follow these simple rules and everything will run smoothly. Remember there are going to be times when you are denied a request, which is because the equipment has been requested! Also items can be returned at RHA meetings!
